not bad at all

this has a lot of potential, but it falls just short of spectacular in my opinion. some things (most notably the drums) feel like they're too muted, so they don't have any sort of force in the song. if you turned up the drums a bit and added some more complexity to them such as during the parts at 0:51 and 1:17, it'd add a lot more impact to it and make that much better.

keep working at it, and you'll be getting frontpaged left and right in no time. :)

like a lot of people (i bet), i came here expecting some random meme remix and was actually pleasantly surprised. it's a really interesting song, everything works together well and the effects and everything work well together.

simple, yes. but less is more, especially with this. there's enough going on to keep it interesting the whole way through, the beat and feedback sound sick as fuck, and over all it sounds like a genuine awesome-ass song. personally, i don't really like whatever the flutish stuff was that came in at 1:25, but it works with the beat so i won't knock the score for that.

both l and light got the best death scenes in the anime imo. 'specially like l's death scene, cause that was before i knew the plot to stab itself in the back and go LOLOLOLOL HAI GAIZ I'M L'S PRODIGEE

i mean, what the fuck? if they had killed l, had light take over the world, showed us what it was like then and stopped there, i'd have been happy. i hate always seeing the good guys win, especially when the good guys weren't even main characters. >_>

rant aside, awesome beat. i love love LOVE the acoustic guitar samples, and the electric parts are really good too. the whole thing captures the feel of the show awesomely, especially where it concerns light.

and yeah, L vs Light, i'd side with L any day. light's a badass but L is just pure awesome.

nice work, i like the sampling, only thing i don't like is the bells. it doesn't fit with the beat very well and gets really annoying after awhile.

it's kind of half and half for me. for the most part, i like the beat, it's really bright and upbeat and seems kinda like something to play on a sunny day when you just wanna sit back and enjoy life. the chipmunking is the big issue tho. i'm not really a fan of it by any means, but for some reason it works with this, prolly because of the parts of the sample you picked. the higher pitch seems to add a bit of a carefree air to the mood of the song. i like it, but i see what you mean when you say it got fucked up.

don't let it keep you from collabing, though, just cause one guy's a dickhead doesn't mean everyone else is.
